The Christian Counselling Centre invites you to our spring Encouragement Café, an evening of desserts, music, and speakers. This year’s speakers, Melanie Tamminga and Anna Bartels, will be sharing their stories in a presentation titled, “Close to the Brokenhearted”. These two women will share their journeys of wrestling with the loss of a spouse and the ongoing responsibility of raising children after their husbands, the fathers of their children, were called home. Speaking from a place of brokenheartedness, yet rooted in God’s enduring grace, they will detail their continuous experience of His strength. They describe themselves as sailors in the storm of grief and single parenthood; while the storm is not removed, God gives strength to the brokenhearted to weather it. Discover how the church family can come alongside those who are brokenhearted and crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18) to practically minister and provide the steadfast support needed for this long journey of healing and hope.
