Our speaker for the morning is Dr. C. Van Dam presenting the topic: "Who is this Woman? Listening to Proverbs 31: 10-31 Today." How is a woman to be worthy of the calling Christ has given her? Proverbs 31 provides an entry point for seeking a biblical answer to that question. This presentation will cover issues that arise from this chapter in the light of all of Scripture with a message for both married and unmarried women. Questions such as these will receive attention: how can a woman best use her God-given gifts, both within and outside the home? How can women contribute to the well-being of Christ's church? How can women best face the challenges of the future? So, study this chapter and bring your insights and questions to the conference! References: Proverbs 31:10-31 and commentaries on that passage; other biblical passages that deal with examples of the roles women have played. The afternoon will continue the discussion with questions, interaction and dialogue at tables. We welcome you to the League Day to be held at Michelangelo Banquet Centre at 1555 Upper Ottawa St., Hamilton, hosted by the Women's Society of Ebenezer Burlington East. The doors open at 9:30 am with the morning Session starting 10:00 am. The day will close at 3:00 pm. All tickets must be reserved and prepaid through your local Women's Bible Study by October 9. Each church must appoint a rep to take ticket reservations. Nursing babies must be pre-registered as well. The cost for the day is $25.00.
