Consistory has planned a Study Kickoff evening for this coming study season. The congregation is encouraged to attend an evening of fellowship and listen to a speech from Dr. G. H. Visscher with the title, Forgiveness and Reconciliation, this coming Wednesday, September 21 at the church. Dr. G. H. Visscher, emeritus Professor of NT, will argue that we need to model our understanding of forgiveness and our attempts at reconciliation on the manner in which God forgives us. He will speak about the procedures and practices we need to put in place when others have sinned against us or we have sinned against others. God’s goal is always that we ought to be as compassionate and understanding of each other as He is of us. We hope to have an interesting evening as we examine portions of Scripture and real life approaches which may help us make the most of the communion of saints in a broken world. The evening will start at 8:00 pm (not 7:30 pm as previously announced) with refreshments and a time of fellowship afterwards. We hope to see you there!
