One in four Canadians is a caregiver, often juggling work and family-life with caregiving. Moreover, difficult decisions have to be made around moving and extended care putting strains on family relations. Therefore it is important to understand the unique challenges of caregivers and how the church can help. Dr. Tom McCormick, Dr. Jason VanVliet and Rev. Matthew VanLuik will be speaking during the conference which is organized by the Word and Spirit Institute, together with Connecting Streams. The conference is intended for (future) caregivers and church leaders discussing the needs of caregivers, unique challenges and ways the church can help.
