We’re looking forward to welcoming prospective students and their families to Providence for our annual New Student Day! This is a chance to see the school at work, meet the teachers who will shape your teen’s learning, and get a sense of our mission and community. The day runs from 8:40 am – 3:20 pm. Students are with us for the full day; parents join us for the morning program. Students may also ride the PRC bus if transportation is needed. Simply indicate that when you register, and we’ll confirm the closest stop.
Morning for Parents (8:40–12:00) Parents begin the day with a New Families Round Table and a guided tour of the school. After a brief welcome, you’ll join two short activity sessions, one introducing our Tech program and one exploring a Canadian geography exercise that students will be trying themselves. The morning continues with a Guidance Presentation and a Current Student Panel, where you can hear directly from the students about their experience at Providence. Parents are welcome to stay for lunch afterward.
Full Day for Students (8:40–3:20) Students start the day by joining our Crew groups, which gives them an immediate sense of the community rhythms that shape our mornings. Through the rest of the day, they participate in hands-on activities with our teachers, enjoy lunch with our students, and spend the afternoon in team-building games, trivia, and a short closing session. It’s an easy way for them to step into the life of the school and picture themselves here.
New Student Day is meant to give both students and parents an honest look at who we are - how we teach, how we learn, and how we work together as a Christian school community.
